October 2003, an interface designer called Steven Garrity wrote an article about what he thought was wrong about the visual identity of Mozilla. The article reached a huge amount of people.
Some time later, Steven Garrity was invited by Mozilla to join the new identity team. Due to the release of Firefox 0.8 in 2004, the company introduced its new branding strategies including new icons. The logo was redesigned and updated later. Continue reading
